Firefox 3: a world record and a first vulnerability

While Firefox 3 has exceeded 8 million downloads to establish a record in the field, a vulnerability was first discovered.

Ranked discovery and severe 5 hours after the official launch of Firefox vista, this fault appears to affect both branches 2 and 3 of the browser.The news came in my RSS reader this morning and I do not know yet more.

Once this security hole exploited it would in any case the execution of arbitrary code on the client.At the origin of the new TippingPoint states they reveal "no more information about this vulnerability until a patch has not emerged, since Mozilla is already working on the problem."
